Accessibility Statement

Center Grove Science NHS wants students, families, educators, and community members to be able to use this website regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing practice, not a one-time certification. The chapter aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably possible.

The site is designed to support:

• keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
• semantic headings, landmarks, and link labels;
• text alternatives for meaningful images;
• responsive layouts and browser text enlargement;
• sufficient text and interface contrast; and
• reduced motion when a visitor requests it through device settings.

Automated checks and manual review are used during site updates, but they cannot identify every barrier.

Historical event photographs may have descriptions that provide context without identifying every person or visual detail. Some third-party pages, documents, email tools, or services reached by a link are outside the chapter’s control and may not meet the same accessibility goals.

If a page, image, or linked resource prevents access to information, the chapter will try to provide the information in another reasonable format.
