Accessibility Statement

Center Grove Science NHS wants students, families, educators, and community members to use this website regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.

The chapter's design and engineering goal is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is an ongoing product goal, not a certification that every page or third-party resource conforms. Center Grove Community School Corporation determines the legal standards and compliance timelines that apply to district services, including obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The site is designed to support:

• a skip link, keyboard navigation, and visible keyboard focus;
• semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and descriptive links;
• text alternatives for meaningful images;
• responsive layouts, browser zoom, and text enlargement;
• text and interface contrast; and
• reduced motion when requested through device settings.

Current reviews combine automated code checks with manual keyboard, focus-order, responsive-layout, zoom, heading, label, and image-text review. Those methods do not identify every barrier.

The downloadable PDF for "The Hidden Geometry of Soap Bubbles" is text-searchable but is not tagged for assistive technology. Its Journal page now includes the complete article and activity as structured HTML, including the observation table.

Journal submission and Spotlight nomination links open Google Forms. The Journal form may require Google sign-in, and third-party forms may not meet the same accessibility goals. Anyone unable to use a form may email an advisor for another way to provide the information.

Historical photographs may have descriptions that give context without identifying every person or visual detail. Report an image description that does not communicate the important content.

• the page address or name of the content;
• a short description of the problem;
• your browser, device, and assistive technology, if relevant; and
• the format or accommodation that would help.

You do not need to disclose a disability. The chapter aims to acknowledge a report within five school days and will work with the school to provide a reasonable alternative or escalate the issue when needed.

This statement reflects the chapter site and the review methods above as of the effective date. It will be updated as barriers are found, standards change, or features are added.
